Liz and Jason’s September wedding in Brooklyn, New York was truly a dream come true. I’ve known these two for years—they’ve been coming to Corolla for family vacations with Jason’s family and booking annual photo sessions with me for well over five years (honestly, I’ve lost count!).
So when they asked me to travel to Brooklyn to photograph their wedding, I was over-the-moon excited. I love New York, and I absolutely adore Liz, Jason, and his entire family—some of the kindest, most fun people you’ll ever meet.
Over the years, I’ve watched Liz bring Jason out of his shell, and the way they complement each other has always been so special to witness. Their wedding weekend reflected that perfectly. We kicked things off with an engagement session in DUMBO the day before the wedding, soaking in the city and all the excitement leading up to the big day.
On their wedding day, Liz and Jason got ready separately in a two-room suite at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. They shared their first look just outside the hotel, doing family photos before heading to Scottadito Osteria Toscana, a cozy Italian restaurant where they hosted both their ceremony and reception.
And what a reception it was. Five incredible courses of some of the best food I’ve ever had, legendary dance moves from Jason’s mom during their mother-son dance, and the sweetest moments watching Liz dance with her brothers. One of my favorite details? Their party favor—a vintage phone where guests could leave them heartfelt (and hilarious) voicemails. Such a fun idea. (I told them about my favorite scene from "It's a Wonderful Life" and Jason shouted "I don't want any plastics!" into the phone...IYKYK!)
It was the perfect celebration of their love for each other and the families who raised them—and the perfect way to officially begin their life together. Cheers to you, Liz and Jason! I can’t wait to see you again in August for our annual photo session! 💛
