Every love story is unique, and I want to tell yours in a way that is authentic to who you are as a couple. During your wedding I will be a photojournalist, a fine-art photographer and a portrait photographer. In the end, I want to create images that blow you away. Photos that show just how beautiful the day was!
My biggest goal is to create images that are deep enough to hold the memories of your day. A day that was everything you wanted it to be! You will also have someone you can come back to for photography that you know will cater everything to your needs while capturing beautiful work.
It is important to me to get to know you so I can give you the best service and photography.

DETAILS
DIGITALS | We average 75-100 final images per hour. We love delivering our client’s files quickly and easily via an online gallery; and then via USB. You will have the ability to print, share and download your images as much as you want. We believe in freely sharing our work because that is what we would want if we were in your shoes!
SESSIONS | We love photographing engagement sessions with our KDP couples! It's a great way to get to know you two before your wedding day. It will also help you feel at ease with what you can expect from us. We recommend booking your session at least two months in advance, so let us know as soon as you plan on coming into town!
COVERAGE | We are often asked how much time is enough. And it really depends on what events you want covered! The best way to find out is to talk about it with us. Most of our weddings are 7 hours and capture the full wedding day!
SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER | On your wedding day you will always have Katie. Some packages come with a second shooter, Carley. We are the dream team! Two professional photographers who bring the fun and energy to get the party started!
How would you describe your photography style?
We are documentary photographers with a background in fine art. When we started it was more about making art. But then we fell in love with our client's stories and the images that it created.
Why should we hire you?
I will make images that are what you wanted them to be; and then some! Everything I do is about making my couples happy. Being able to serve my clients in a way that sets them at ease is very important to me. I will be a positive presence on your wedding day. You two will have someone you can come back to for photography that you know will bring the joy and fun while capturing beautiful work. With me you will know that I have you covered. It's one less thing to stress out about!
Do you book destination weddings?
A large amount of my weddings here in the OBX are with couples who are coming from out-of-town. I love meeting with my couples long before their wedding day so that they can get to know me and make sure I am the right fit for them.
Are you getting married somewhere outside of the OBX and want me to be your photographer? I love to travel! I like to get to a city two days before the event to get my bearings and have a good plan for photography. Fill out the contact form and I'll send you a custom quote for your location!
How do I order an album and what is the album process?
One of my wedding coverage packages includes a custom album. When the gallery is uploaded you will have the opportunity to select your favorites for the album. Then I will send you a proof for approval. We will work together until we have the perfect layout for you. At the end we will go over a couple final options like cover material and color. If your coverage collection does not include an album you can order one on your online gallery!
Who will be photographing our wedding?
I hope you choose Katiedid Photography to be your wedding day photographers. If so, I'll see you there! Every package includes photography coverage by me. Most of my plans also include a second photographer.
How do we book?
Questions answered and you're ready to commit? Awesome! When you're ready to make it official I'll send you a link to a custom online portal just for you! This is the space where you will have your contract, payment portal, and photography planning materials all in one place!
To reserve your wedding date I require a 50% deposit & signed contract. The remaining 50% is due 2 weeks before your wedding day. You can even choose to autopay to give you one less thing to do the month before your day!
How do we schedule a session with you?
Because of my busy weekend schedule with weddings, I only schedule portrait sessions Monday-Thursday.
The best way to set up a session is to give me a call when you're ready to book. I tend to book up fast and chatting over the phone is the best way to give you up-to-date availability. It's also a great way to start planning your session!
