The Sanderling is one of my favorite wedding venues. It has everything you could want for your Outer Banks Wedding. It has great beach ceremony spots, a big, grassy yard for cocktail hour, and a sound-front reception venue. There's even more than that... but I didn't want that sentence to go on forever! Every building in the Sanderling Resort is beautiful and makes me think of coastal luxury.
In short, I love the Sanderling Resort. So it's only fitting that I had a wedding there with two people that I absolutely LOVE.
Kayla emailed me about their wedding back in 2020. Then we met at a coffee shop in Duck to see if we would be a good fit. We clicked right away! We stayed at that coffee shop a lot longer than I expected we would; telling our stories and trading jokes. We signed a contract and started making plans for their wedding day photography coverage. Everything was golden...then COVID hit. So, sadly, they decided to move their wedding to 2022. They really had the best attitude about it all. Kayla said she already felt like they were married so what was one more year. Real life lovebirds!
When their wedding day FINALLY came around I enjoyed every minute of it... and I know they did too. Their families and friends are some of the nicest people. And they know how to have a good time! I loved seeing the relationships they share and getting to meet some great people. (I'm basically a part of the family now!)
