The Kitty Hawk Pier House at the Kitty Hawk Hilton Garden Inn is one of my favorite Outer Banks wedding venues. This space has it all! On the inside it’s a mixture of rustic and coastal with wooden plank walls. The space can really be made to fit any theme with the right decor. The interior windows give views of the beach and open ocean. There’s the option to get married on the beach or on the pier. And the Hilton Garden Inn provides services like coordination and catering. Surrounded by such a beautiful view, who wouldn’t want to get married there?!
Coordination
I knew from the minute I met Stephanie and Ryan, we had an instant connection and I was going to love documenting every moment of their wedding day. Stephanie and Ryan are locals but they still had their hands full, when it came to planning. Stephanie had just graduated from vet school and had just opened up her very own clinic here on the OBX. It is so great that The Hilton Garden Inn provides their couples getting married at the Kitty Hawk Pier House with an on-site coordinator to make planning easier! They really made their vision come to life.
Getting Ready
The bride and her girls got ready in their room at the Hilton Garden Inn. Panda from Salt Hair met them there to do their hair.
"What happens tonight will be on Facebook tomorrow!"
Decor
Shirley from Sugar Snap Events adorned the arbor on the pier with the most beautiful flowers. They were everything the bride and groom had hoped for. The florals were beautifully textured with blue, white and blush tones in the flowers. I Do OBX Weddings provided the chairs for the ceremony. They always do a great job and they are really quick when it comes to setup and breakdown.
Tables at the reception had a couple blush-toned blooms in bottles. Next to them were corked wine bottles with fairy lights on the inside. The table numbers were painted on little canvases and placed on a little easel; so creative! I loved the sign by the bar that said “What happens tonight will be on Facebook tomorrow!”
Dinner
The Kitty Hawk Pier House has an in-house catering team that always delivers. They had tuna with a corn salsa on top, fresh green beans, mashed potatoes and more. Best of all, the night ended with milk and cookies! Can I just say that I love the Hilton’s cookies? They provide cookies in the evening for all their guests and they are SO GOOD!
Dancing
After everyone enjoyed dinner and listening to the speeches, the sun went down, and the music started to play. All the guests started dancing with Josh from OBX Wedding DJ spinning the beats. I loved watching the bride’s dad’s awesome dance moves!
